Root Beer Float Cake

It looked like a giant chocolate donut.  And it was fun to imagine pouring a gallon of milk into a mixing bowl and dunking this baby.

 Cocoa powder, sugar, Root Beer and a lot a butter.

Lemon Meringue Cookies

I'd like you to meet these little Lemon Meringue Cookies:

 The meringue is infused with vanilla and lemon zest

 And each cookie is filled with lemon curd.  Have you made lemon curd?  Or eaten it?  I could eat it right out of the jar with the spoon.  It is sooooooo good.  And the color is the perfect yellow.

 These bite-sized treats taste like summer.  And that is truly refreshing when it feels like winter outside.

There is nothing like the smell of fresh squeezed lime juice.  I love it.

 And I love avocados too.

 And something about the pit just made me smile . . .

 

 This layered soup only needs the broth poured over the top . . .
